ABOUT US

The Green Launchpad (TGL) is a social benefit corporation dedicated to building an inclusive clean energy workforce ecosystem. We work with employers, workforce organizations, community-based partners, and public agencies to design ecosystem solutions that support high-quality jobs and equitable access to opportunity in the clean energy economy.

One of our core programs is the Accelerator for Green Workforce Developers, a 6-week hybrid training program designed for workforce professionals such as career advisors, job developers, program managers, and instructors. The Accelerator provides participants with practical knowledge of clean energy career pathways, certifications, employer engagement strategies, policy drivers, and more by combining live instruction, guest speakers, applied activities, and structured online learning.

THE ROLE

The Training Program Operations Intern (TPOI) plays a critical operational role in the successful delivery of the Accelerator. While the Program Lead serves as the architect of the curriculum, learning structure, and digital systems, the TPOI is the primary executor of day-to-day learning operations.

This role focuses on ensuring that the LMS, participation tracking, communications, and online/in-person session logistics run smoothly, and that participants receive timely support throughout the program. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in workforce development, education program delivery, and clean energy training initiatives, and who enjoys being highly organized, detail-oriented, and participant-focused.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Program Logistics (Pre- & During Cohort): Manage the day-to-day delivery of the 6-week accelerator. This includes:
    • Participant onboarding: adding participants to the Learning Management System (LMS), sending welcome communications, and helping coordinate cohort communication channels
    • Pre-class logistics for hybrid sessions: confirming in-person attendance, coordinating food and space logistics as needed, and supporting optional cohort networking or social activities
    • Guest speaker scheduling & session setup: sending calendar holds, confirming logistics, and preparing Zoom sessions for live classes
    • Live session support: recording sessions, sharing important links and resources with participants in the Zoom chat, and monitoring the chat to respond to basic questions and flag issues; coordinate logistics for our two in-person sessions on March 13 and April 17
    • Post-class recap communications: send recordings, resources, and reminders about upcoming sessions and assignments to participants
  • Participant Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for the cohort. You will manage the WhatsApp group, troubleshoot login issues, and ensure participants have their materials before every session.
  • Data & Impact (Post-Cohort): In the final weeks of the internship, you will analyze participant surveys and engagement data to create an "Impact Report" that will guide future program improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Organizational Mastery: You love details. You can manage a calendar, a roster, and a Zoom room simultaneously without losing your cool.
  • Digital Fluency: Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Zoom. Experience with Notion or LMS platforms is a plus.
  • Communication: You write clear, encouraging emails and can professionally coordinate with guest speakers and partners.
  • NY Residency: You currently reside in New York State or can travel to NYC for the required dates.

WHY JOIN US?

  • Hands-on experience in accelerator program management and workforce development.
  • Exposure to the clean energy sector and green job training initiatives.
  • The opportunity to contribute to a growing mission-driven organization.
  • Experience working in a flexible, remote-friendly, startup environment.
