Physical Therapist Assistant

Work Overview

We are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant who will assist in the implementation of physical therapy services to patients in accordance with the plan of care and under the direction and supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans activities and provides therapeutic services for physical therapy
  • Records type of treatment and patients reaction to it in the patients notes, which are written on the day of the visit and incorporated in the patients record weekly
  • Be supervised by a Physical Therapist
  • Follow guidelines for supervision as outlined by the State Board for Physical Therapy
  • Can track and follow their authorized visits according to what had been allowed by insurance and in the plan of care

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Experience with pediatric, autistic and developmentally disabled clients
  • Experience with implementation of treatment of patients
  • Great customer service skills
