Field Service Technician

Our mission at Hi-Plains Crop Solutions is to provide a wide range of services to those in the agriculture industry, chief among these being the installation of soil monitoring systems. The systems we install allow farmers to monitor, and adjust, the amount of water applied to their crops for optimum growth. Our goal as a company is to continue to grow, and to provide services that will help the farming community take the next step in the innovation of soil moisture management

The position within our company we are offering is Field Service Technician. This position will be tasked with installing, extracting, and maintaining proper function of soil moisture systems. Task’s will include the analysis of soil moisture data, troubleshooting technical difficulties with systems in the field, and traveling to and from the service area. 

In addition to the servicing of our soil monitoring equipment, this position will also include the taking of soil and tissue samples as well as a supportive role in seed and chemical sales. Though the primary focus of this position will be field technician, the opportunity to take on a bigger role within the company may present itself in the employee completes the duties and responsibilities assigned to them in a professional manner. 

Requirements: 

● Driver’s License & good driving record 

● Must be organized, motivated, and a self-starter 

● Ability to drive long distances and willing to travel 

● Comfortable working with computers 

● Ability to troubleshoot problems on computer & in-field 

● Ability to properly complete probe installation & extraction after training 

● Willing work outdoors for extended periods of time

Responsibilities: 

● Installation of Soil Monitoring Systems

● Daily expense reports and mileage tracking
