THE POSITION
The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is now hiring for a Skilled Maintainer to join our team!

- LOCATION: 1635 Central Ave., Bridgeport, CT
- SCHEDULE: Full-Time, 37.5 Hours per Week, First Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30am - 2:30pm

DISCOVER THE OPPORTUNITY TO
- Provide a wide range of preventative maintenance activities in a Joint Commission accredited state hospital;
- Assist employees of a higher job class in all trade areas, assist with scheduling of state vehicle fleet maintenance
- Escort and assist contractors in the hospital, conduct fire watch and other safety watches during construction activities within the hospital and grounds;
- Provide office moves of equipment and furniture as directed, including assisting with asset management and equipment control;
- Participate in medical equipment assembly, inventory control and inspection related activities;
- Be responsible for grounds and landscaping activities at the hospital campus and other agency properties; and
- Review and complete work orders and other inspection and accreditation related documentation on a daily basis or as otherwise required.

SWCMHS strives to provide high quality, compassionate and culturally competent mental health and substance abuse services to adults with behavioral health disorders who are indigent. With three locations throughout Fairfield County, SWCMHS, promotes and administers comprehensive recovery oriented services in the areas of mental health treatment and substance abuse prevention and treatment. These services include inpatient treatment programs and outpatient clinical services, as well as a wide range of additional supportive treatment services.
