Student Activities & Involvement (SAI) Assistant - Summer and/or Fall 2026 - Work Study or Regular Pay
Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing front-line customer service to all guests visiting Student Activities & Involvement. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to: answering questions, scheduling appointments, supporting SAI staff/events, and miscellaneous projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Tasks
All UC Employees:

- Follow UC Student Employee Guidelines
- Participate and complete onboarding, UC-wide Orientation, and training.
Position Specific:
- Establish positive relations with all guests who visit Student Activities & Involvement. Greet guests entering SAI, determine the nature and purpose of the visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Student Activities & Involvement’s mission and vision in order to serve as a point of reference for others.
- Complete projects for staff as directed, as well as assist others in making appointments with them.
- Operate front desk phones: answer, screen, or forward calls; provide information to callers, take messages, and schedule appointments as necessary.
- Maintain the security of data and staff information and track work performed.
- Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
Additional Requirement(s) (Meetings/Training/Event Staffing)
- Meeting with SAI Assistant Lead or Program Specialist as directed.
- Attend all unit and UC trainings
