Associate

CEO-Sponsored Graduate Program

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Wio Bank is building one of the most ambitious digital banking platforms globally — reimagining how individuals and businesses bank, build wealth, and interact with financial systems.

We are now hiring a small number of Associates to join a CEO-sponsored program designed for exceptional final-year students and recent graduates who want to work directly on the bank’s most important problems, not observe from the sidelines.

This role is for people who want exposure, responsibility, and impact early — and who expect more from their first role than a narrow function or predefined track.

What makes this different

  • CEO-sponsored: You will work on priorities that are visible at the highest level of the organization
  • Cross-disciplinary by design: We are intentionally hiring from multiple majors, not just business or engineering
  • Execution > decks: You will help build, ship, improve, automate, and fix — not just analyze
  • Real ownership: You will be trusted with workstreams that materially affect how the bank operates
  • Fast trajectory: High performers grow quickly and take on expanded scope early

The Role

As an Associate, you will work across high-impact, cross-functional initiatives spanning strategy execution, operations, automation, data, and AI-enabled workflows.

You will rotate across problems, teams, and projects — gaining first-principles exposure to how a digital bank actually runs, scales, and improves itself.

This role is deliberately generalist at the start and directional over time, allowing you to lean into your strengths as they emerge.

What you’ll work on

You may be involved in projects such as:

Execution & Special Projects

  • Owning workstreams tied to core business priorities (growth, efficiency, risk, automation)
  • Breaking down ambiguous problems into executable actions
  • Tracking initiatives from idea → execution → measurable outcome
  • Identifying bottlenecks and helping unblock teams

Data, Insight & Decision Support

  • Defining and tracking KPIs that matter
  • Working with data teams to turn raw data into insight
  • Supporting leadership reviews with analysis grounded in reality, not theory
  • Reducing manual reporting through automation and tooling

Automation & AI Enablement

  • Identifying manual, repetitive, or broken processes
  • Supporting automation, no-code/low-code, and AI pilots
  • Partnering with Engineering, Data, and AI teams
  • Measuring real impact (time saved, error reduction, straight-through-processing uplift)

Operational Excellence

  • Improving how teams document, execute, and follow up
  • Strengthening controls without adding bureaucracy
  • Helping build scalable operating muscle across the bank

You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk & Compliance, Finance, Data and AI teams.

Who this role is for

We are intentionally major-agnostic.

We are looking for exceptional graduates from fields such as (but not limited to):

  • Engineering & Computer Science
  • AI, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics
  • Design, HCI, Systems Thinking
  • Economics, Business, Finance
  • Psychology, Criminology, Behavioral Sciences
  • Interdisciplinary or self-designed majors

What matters more than your major is how you think.

What we look for

Must-have

  • Strong problem-solving ability and intellectual curiosity
  • Comfort working with data, ambiguity, and imperfect information
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • A strong ownership mindset — you finish what you start
  • Bias for action over perfection
  • High learning velocity

Nice-to-have

  • Exposure to fintech, platforms, marketplaces, or regulated environments
  • Experience with analytics tools, automation, AI projects, or side builds
  • Hackathons, research projects, startups, or case competitions
  • Evidence of building or shipping something (code, research, design, systems)

What this role is not

  • Not a traditional graduate rotation with hand-holding
  • Not a pure strategy or consulting role
  • Not a reporting or admin position
  • Not limited to one function

This is a hands-on execution role with real accountability.

Growth & Career Path

This role is designed as a launchpad, not a terminal position.

High performers may progress into:

  • Strategy & Operations
  • Product Operations or Platform roles
  • Automation & Process Excellence
  • Business Transformation
  • Other leadership-track roles across Wio

Trajectory is based on impact and ownership, not tenure.

Why Wio

  • Build in the open, with access to leadership
  • Flat, merit-driven culture
  • Real problems at meaningful scale
  • Speed, trust, and responsibility from day one

If you want a first role where you learn faster than your peers, work on problems that matter, and see how leadership decisions get made, this is that role.
