Senior UI/UX Designer (Data Annotation)

Contract • Remote • $80-110/hr

The Role

We are hiring senior UI and UX designers to assess AI generated design outputs. Your expertise and taste will ultimately become the signal that trains AI models to recognize and produce great design.

Compensation: $80-110/hour
Commitment: 20-40 hours/week
Location: Remote 

Eligibility: Must be based in the United States
Type: Long-term contract

What You'll Do

  • Review and score AI-generated UI/UX designs across web and mobile
  • Make judgments about visual quality, interaction design, and polish
  • Write clear explanations of why designs succeed or fail
  • Help create reference examples and evaluation standards
  • Maintain consistent judgment across high volumes of work

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 1-3 or more years in senior or staff level product or UX design roles at organizations known for strong design culture and quality such as Airbnb, Apple, Stripe, Notion, IDEO, or Shopify.
  • A portfolio demonstrating high standards in visual design, interaction polish, systems thinking, and refinement across real world web and or mobile products, not just conceptual or exploratory work.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and assess others’ work, provide clear and constructive feedback, and explain why designs succeed or fall short using consistent, well reasoned criteria.

Nice to Have

  • A history of making thoughtful, high quality judgments about UI and UX, visual clarity, interaction quality, and overall cohesion that would largely align with decisions made by experienced designers at top tier companies.
  • Some familiarity with AI generated design outputs, design tooling, or evaluation workflows such as reviewing generated content, identifying edge cases, or catching regressions.
  • Consistent, careful, and dependable in decision making across large volumes of work while balancing quality with steady throughput.
  • Located in the United States and well versed in American product norms, design standards, and user expectations.
  • Able to collaborate on assessment criteria, calibrate against established benchmarks, and refine judgment over time in partnership with client design teams.
  • Typically able to dedicate approximately 40 hours per week with interest in long term collaboration and ongoing work.
