God is at work among us, and we are prayerfully seeking a full-time Worship Pastor who is a Spirit-led worshipper and a passionate developer of people.
Position Summary
The Worship Pastor will lead the church in Spirit-led, Christ-centered worship while serving as a key leader in our leadership pipeline. This role is designed for a college graduate or early-career leader who desires hands-on ministry experience and is called to identify, train, and develop future worship leaders—including leaders who will serve at new church campuses in other rural settings.
This position goes beyond weekly worship leadership and focuses on reproducing worship leaders who can lead teams, shape culture, and help launch ministry in new communities.
Key Responsibilities
Worship Leadership
- Lead worship for weekend services and special gatherings in a Spirit-led and congregationally engaging manner
- Collaborate with the pastoral team to plan worship services aligned with sermon themes and church rhythms
- Model a life of worship, prayer, humility, and spiritual maturity
Developing Future Leaders
- Identify potential worship leaders among musicians, vocalists, and production team members
- Train and mentor emerging leaders in worship leadership, spiritual formation, and team leadership
- Create intentional pathways for leaders to grow from team members to worship leaders and leaders of leaders
- Prepare and release worship leaders to serve at future campuses and ministry expressions, particularly in rural communities
- Intentionally reproduce yourself into others, equipping leaders to lead worship and develop teams
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and lead worship and production teams
- Build great teams marked by trust, excellence, and spiritual health
- Empower leaders with real responsibility and ownership
Discipleship & Pastoral Care
- Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to worship and production teams
- Participate with the pastoral staff in providing pastoral care to the broader church body as needed, including serving on the on-call pastor rotation
- Foster a culture of encouragement, accountability, and growth
Leadership Growth & Learning
- Maintain a self-learner mindset, actively growing in worship ministry, leadership, and theology
- Receive coaching and feedback from church leadership
- Participate fully in staff leadership, planning, and development
Qualifications & Characteristics
- A Spirit-led worshipper with a clear calling to ministry
- Experience leading worship in a church, campus, or ministry context
- Demonstrated ability (or strong potential) to develop leaders and multiply ministry
- Passion for rural ministry and campus expansion
- A self-directed learner eager to grow and be coached
- Musical proficiency (vocals and/or instrument)
- Credentialed with the Assemblies of God, or willing and able to pursue Assemblies of God credentials
- Alignment with the beliefs, values, and ministry culture of Crosspoint Church

- A healthy, growing worship ministry supported by strong teams and developing leaders
- Emerging worship leaders are being trained, empowered, and released to lead
- A clear and functioning leadership pipeline for worship ministry is in place
- Worship leaders are being prepared for future rural campuses and ministry expressions
- Volunteers feel supported, equipped, and valued
- The Worship Pastor contributes positively to staff culture as a team player and leader of leaders
- Pastoral care needs are met faithfully within the worship ministry and across the church when serving on the on-call rotation
