The Jack Langerman Community Foundation Summer 2026 Intern

Please note:  Your résumé MUST be approved by a CCI Peer Career Advisor in order to apply in Handshake. (If your résumé was approved last year and updated with new experiences, it remains valid.)

The Jack Langerman (Middlebury '19.5) Community Foundation is dedicated to giving back to the communities that gave so much to Jack, and is looking for a current Middlebury student to help further our mission and continue Jack's legacy.

The ideal intern will share some of Jack's best traits, and in that spirit should be gregarious, well-rounded, and enthusiastic.  They’ll be versatile, a curious thinker and a self-starter with an interest in growing and leveraging their network of Middlebury people and beyond.  They should be eager to learn skills and form relationships that will last a lifetime, and dive into all aspects of the Foundation’s operations and ambitions, from non-profit organization to sponsorship sales to party planning.  They should be willing to embrace the unknown and unafraid to show initiative, all while doing good.  Bonus points for having a great sense of humor, a love of Middlebury and a zest for life.

While every day of this internship will likely be different than the one that came before it, key areas of focus will include:

·       Researching non-profit organizations, structures and trends

·       Developing and implementing new fundraising initiatives and strategies

·       Grant and proposal writing

·       Social media marketing and communications

·       Website design

·       Event planning

·       Outreach to various organizations in the sports, entertainment and restaurant industries

The CCI Select Internship Program offers Middlebury students the opportunity to take part in impactful, hands-on internships across the U.S. and around the world. Each position is chosen for its strong mentorship, meaningful learning outcomes, and potential to help students explore career interests in a real-world setting.

  • Funding: Interns receive a $5,000 CCI award to support their summer experience.
  • Requirements: Your résumé must be CCI-approved to apply. Selected interns must participate in all cohort meetings and complete pre-internship forms, a post-internship evaluation, and a donor thank-you letter.
  • Eligibility: Open to returning Middlebury students. Seniors graduating in May 2026, students not enrolled in Spring or Fall 2026, and those planning to transfer are not eligible.

These internships are made possible through the generosity of Middlebury College donors who believe in the power of experiential learning.
