Field Engineer

The Ringwood Company is a leading supplier of equipment to the corrugated paper industry since 1963. We design, engineer, manufacture, program and install our machinery throughout North America. Our products include robotic conveying, material handling, and automatic mixing equipment. As our company expands its products and services, we are searching for additional people to join our team.

We currently have an opening for a Field Engineer. The position requires that the incumbent be the subject matter expert with electrical design practices, machine/motion control systems, electro-mechanical systems, robotics, PLC programming and conveying equipment. The incumbent will be responsible for equipment start-up and troubleshooting.

Qualifications/Requirements

· Previous experience with industrial process equipment is necessary

· PLC Programming experience (Allen-Bradley)

· Experience in troubleshooting on mechanical electrical control panels, software aspects of the equipment

· Instruct at customer’s site staff and new technicians on the proper operation, maintenance, and safety of the equipment as needed

· Prior experience in maintenance and repair

· Mechanical and electrical aptitude and demonstrated skills

· Experience using precision measurement equipment (i.e. electrical meters)

· The use of hand and power tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, etc.)

· Ability to troubleshoot and work independently

· Must be able to problem solve, conduct written and verbal communication, read and comprehend technical information

· Process Field Reports

· Computer and analytical skills

· Dependent of job order, you must be able to work standing, kneeling, and sitting

· Ability to lift and carry 70 pounds.

· Must be able to read, write and understand English

· Must pass the required screenings (background/drug/physical)

· Driver’s License in good standing

· Travel: 50%
