About the role

Racing Tech builds custom wiring harnesses and electronics for various motorsport disciplines. We’re hiring a part-time, hourly Wiring Harness Builder to support production and prototyping of motorsport wiring harnesses.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assembling wiring harnesses for racing and automotive applications based from diagrams and schematics.
  • Interpret and build wiring diagrams (RapidHarness or similar).
  • Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires to spec.
  • Installing connectors, terminals, seals, and grommets correctly and securely.
  • Work with autosport/milspec-style connectors (Deutsch, Autosport, etc.).
  • Perform continuity checks and basic electrical verification.
  • Calibrating completed wiring harnesses with ECU and performing diagnostic tests. 
  • Maintain clean workmanship, labeling, and documentation.

Required experience:

  • Prior hands-on wiring harness experience (automotive, racing, aviation, industrial, etc.).
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams (RapidHarness experience strongly preferred).
  • Competent crimping/terminating skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using standard harness tools (wire strippers, crimp tools, pin extractors, heat gun, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience with milspec/autosport connectors.
  • Ability to build a harness autonomously given schematics + layout.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 or IPC-610 familiarity/certification (nice to have).
  • Experience with Raychem DR-25, molded boots, heat shrink/labels (nice to have).
