The Emergency Services Intern will work closely with the Coordinator of Emergency Services to manage programs and ensure they are accessible to clients. This is an essential role which will work closely with confidential client information to assemble the best resources available to them and ensure PIN’s assets are being used to the greatest benefit of the community. This internship position is a 10-week assignment from May 26 - August 4, 2026.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

Program Administration

  • Process applications, gather documentation, assess qualification, communicate with clients regarding School Shoe Voucher program
  • Case Management for Eviction Prevention and Utility Assistance
  • Process applications, gather documentation, assess qualification, communicate with service providers

Additional Duties

  • Assist the Coordinator with additional Emergency Services needs as necessary
  • Participate in additional PIN programs as necessary, such as Produce Markets
  • Demonstrate outstanding support and commitment to PIN, our programs, and the neighbors we serve in the community
  • Participate in marketing events and creation of marketing materials, as needed

Time and Location

  • 20 hours per week. A schedule can be created to accommodate your needs and those of the organization.
  • 90% onsite at PIN’s warehouse; 10% offsite meetings, Delaware County Fairgrounds.

Desired Qualifications

  • Currently or will be pursuing a degree at an institution of higher education
  • Familiarity or desire to work with or volunteer for a nonprofit organization
  • Proficiency in a second language would be greatly beneficial to our programs’ accessibility to potential and returning clients

Expected hours: 20 per week
