Focus Solutions Intern

Program Dates: June 9 – August 14, 2026 (10 weeks)

Position Summary

The 10-week paid internship program is an opportunity to learn how Focus Solutions empowers financial advisors with extensive resources to support their clients’ complex personal and financial needs, enabling them to deliver meaningful outcomes. As a key player in our strategic initiatives, you'll analyze data to draw actionable insights that will inform strategic decisions and help drive the execution of key initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience while working in a dynamic environment. Focus provides team members the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. Our hybrid model is defined as 3 days in office work required per week, while giving team members the option to work remotely 2 days per week, or as assigned by their team leader.

Interns who demonstrate exceptional performance may be considered early for a full-time position following graduation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of the Focus Solutions strategy
  • Conduct discovery processes to gather critical and relevant information
  • Analyze data and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Progress the evolution of various offerings with regards to service, structure, economics, and advisor/client experience
  • Develop and recommend go-forward plans for new offerings
  • Assist with the development of project charters, integrated project plans, and project risk management strategies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and distribute partner firm newsletters

Qualifications

  • Current students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 and Spring 2027
  • Successfully complete assessments within 5 days of receiving the link.
  • Ability to work and commute out of FFP’s New York City office; no relocation assistance provided
  • Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated track record of academic success and/or professional pursuits
  • High degree of personal and professional maturity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and confidence to take initiative
  • Exceptional work ethic and a deep sense of accountability
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

This position is a non-exempt position. The base pay for this role is expected to be $22/hr. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate’s experience and education.
