Telecommunicator

The Village of Bayside is looking for qualified candidates to complement our Communications team.  The Communications Center operates twenty-four hours a day dispatching Police, Fire and EMS.  Telecommunicators are responsible for answering both emergency and non-emergency phone calls, operating and using a Computer Aided Dispatch system (CAD), dispatching calls over the radio, using NCIC computer and databases, greeting and assisting the public, and maintaining public records. The position includes rotating shift work. This position has a very high level of responsibility providing safety and service to the citizens, businesses, and visitors to the communities of Bayside, Brown Deer, Glendale, Fox Point, River Hills, Shorewood and Whitefish Bay.
