Stark Carpet is a third-generation, family-owned luxury carpet and rug company with an 85+ year legacy and $200M+ in annual revenue. We work with the world’s top interior designers and operate a complex, real-world business with showrooms, manufacturing partners, logistics, and long-tenured teams.
We are beginning to apply AI in practical ways to:
- Make work easier
- Remove friction and busywork
- Improve speed and clarity
- Help teams focus on higher-value thinking
This initiative is led directly by the CEO.
The Role
You will work closely with the CEO to help identify and improve high-impact business workflows using AI.
This role is not about building cutting-edge models.
It’s about improving how the business runs.
You’ll:
- Spend time with leaders and teams to understand how work actually flows
- Identify repetitive, manual, or slow processes
- Implement practical AI-enabled solutions
- Launch improvements quickly and refine them
- Help teams adopt new tools with confidence
Example Projects
- Automating meeting notes → action items → follow-ups
- Improving reporting and data retrieval
- Organizing internal knowledge
- Reducing manual coordination across teams
- Streamlining quoting, tracking, or operational workflows
You don’t need to be an engineer — but you should be comfortable learning new tools and experimenting.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
- Multiple workflows meaningfully improved
- Leaders experience measurable time savings
- Teams begin relying on AI tools in daily work
- The company builds conviction that AI can improve operations
