Technician - Prototype Testing Assistant
About the Role
We are a manufacturing company developing industrial equipment for sustainable food waste and wastewater treatment. We’re looking for a R&D Technician to support our engineering team with testing, building and improving prototype systems.
This is a hands-on role, and you’ll be working directly with real machines. If you enjoy troubleshooting systems, learning by doing, and seeing your work directly influence product development, this role will be a good fit.
Responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with setting up and running equipment tests
- Help with building and modifying prototypes and test setups
- Record test results, take photos, and help document findings
- Help troubleshoot issues during testing with guidance from engineers
- Maintain test area organization and safety
- Help with fabrication, drilling, cutting, mounting, wiring, etc.
- Support continuous improvement of test methods and procedures
Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on ability with tools
- Comfortable working with water pumps, pipes, valves, sensors, etc.
- Able to follow instructions carefully and also think independently when troubleshooting
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Willing to learn and take ownership of your work
- Can communicate clearly with engineers and technicians
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical are preferred
