Coding and/or Engineering Teacher

StemTree of Monroe, WA is a K-12 science and engineering education center. We are currently looking for energetic and highly motivated individuals who enjoy working with kids to empower them for incredible success.

Summary:

With basic understanding of coding and/or engineering procedures, and willingness to work with kids, this position gives great opportunity to grow with the company. 

No previous experience is required! You will be professionally trained on our curriculum. The training is fully paid.

Working Hours: 

Part-Time:

Monday to Friday

2 pm to 7 pm

Saturday

10 am to 2 pm

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Computer science/Computer Engineering/information technology major candidates
  • Candidates must be comfortable teaching young kids and be open to learning unique teaching methods
  • Strong people skills
  • Background check required upon hiring
  • Reliable and prompt
  • Fast learner
  • Candidates must have their own transportation.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Organize and prepare educational material to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Student Assessment: Conduct assessment tests to identify students' proficiency levels and tailor instruction to meet their individual needs.
  • Instruction and Guidance: Provide direct instruction and mentorship to students, facilitating learning in homework tasks, project-based learning.
  • Lesson Planning: Design detailed lesson plans and instructional tasks that are innovative and cater to a wide range of learning styles.
  • Camp Programming: During the summer camp period, design and implement new and exciting curriculum content to enrich students' learning experiences.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to evaluate and enhance teaching methods and materials.
  • Maintain records of students' progress and provide feedback to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of educational trends and best practices in STEM education.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

Pay Range:

  • Per hour pay $20-$25
  • Pay is negotiable based on teaching experience with children
