Activity Counselor
Overview
Ready to spend your summer leading hands-on adventures? As an Activity Counselor, you'll lead specialty programs like archery, high ropes, kayaking, or arts for youth in grades 1-12. You'll help them try new things, build confidence, and make lasting friendships.
What to Expect
- This is a seasonal summer position, with training beginning in late May and camp running from early June through early August.
- You can choose to live at camp from Sunday at 5 p.m. through Friday at 5 p.m. each week or commute from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Housing is available and meals are provided while you’re on site.
- You’ll work with different groups of children throughout the summer, creating unique and rewarding experiences in every session.
- You’ll collaborate with fellow counselors as part of a fun, supportive, and diverse team.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 18 years old by June 2026 preferred (but not required)
- Experience working with children preferred (but not required)
- Ability to achieve and maintain required certifications (e.g., First Aid, CPR, Ropes Course Facilitation) through training provided by Wildwood for certain roles
What We Offer
- An opportunity to build leadership, communication, and youth development skills while making a real impact
- $250 bonus if you accept our offer of employment before March 1, 2026
- $500 scholarship awarded to one staff member
- $100 bonus for each team member that you refer, is hired, and arrives at camp for staff training
Salary range
- $12 - $15 per hour
