Data Solutions Engineer Intern

The Data Solutions Engineer (Intern) supports the Product & AI team by assisting with data engineering, technical solutions, and data-enabled product development. This role is designed for early-career candidates who are developing foundational skills in data engineering, analytics, and modern data technologies.

Under close guidance and supervision, the intern will contribute to maintaining data pipelines, supporting technical solutions, and improving data-driven processes while gaining hands-on experience in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering (50%)

• Assist in maintaining existing data collection and analytical pipelines that support ongoing projects and operations
• Help review existing pipelines to identify basic issues, inefficiencies, or areas requiring improvement
• Support the development of simple to moderately complex automation tasks to reduce manual effort and improve reliability
• Assist with monitoring data pipelines and escalating issues to appropriate team members for resolution
• Follow established standards and best practices to ensure data pipelines operate reliably and meet current data needs

Technical Solutions (25%)

• Assist in the development and support of data collection and analytical pipelines for new or existing projects and products
• Support team members in implementing solutions that may leverage machine learning, artificial intelligence, or other modern technologies
• Help build and maintain data integration workflows for batch or near-real-time data ingestion
• Research and document emerging technologies, tools, or best practices for review by the team

Product Development (15%)

• Assist in developing and supporting data-related solutions or features aligned with product and business objectives
• Contribute ideas or insights based on data analysis or operational experience
• Support collaboration with cross-functional teams by completing assigned tasks tied to the product roadmap

Technical Communication & Training (10%)

• Assist with sharing basic technical knowledge across the organization
• Support the preparation of documentation, training materials, workshops, or demonstrations covering foundational data concepts or tools
• Help create and maintain clear documentation for data systems, workflows, and processes
• Support onboarding efforts by helping explain data systems, tools, and basic best practices to new team members
