Upper School Math and Science Teacher
The Hunter School invites applications for an upper school Math and Science teacher, ninth through twelfth grade. This position is full-time, including other academic duties and teaching assignments. Primary responsibilities for this position include direct instruction to students in upper school math and science in a classroom setting. Additional duties may include extracurricular coaching or instruction, administrative duties, or other duties as assigned by the headmaster.
Candidates with a demonstrated ability to teach other upper school subjects (Logic, Rhetoric, Literature, Ancient or Modern Languages, History) will be given additional consideration.
The successful candidate must hold a degree from an accredited college or university. He or she must have an affinity for teaching and whole-heartedly embrace Hunter’s Christ-centered, academically focused mission. Finally, the successful candidate must have a strong desire to grow intellectually and spiritually through a commitment to lifelong learning.
Preference will be given to teachers with prior experience as classical Christian educators, but we welcome all applicants with a commitment to the principles outlined above.
