Still figuring out your summer plans? Why not spend it making unforgettable memories while making a real impact? The Arc of Southeast Iowa is looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, and fun-loving Camp Counselors to join our 2026 summer programming team!

If you love working with kids and teens, enjoy outdoor adventures, and want to create an inclusive, exciting camp experience for individuals with disabilities—this is the job for you!

Camp Dates & Hours:

  • June 15 – 26, 2026
  • July 6 – August 7, 2026
  • Monday – Friday
  • Kids Camp: 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Teen Camp: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

What You Need:

  • Must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation (to transport campers).
  • Comfortable in and around swimming pools.
  • Complete CPR, First Aid, brain injury training, and mandatory reporting (training provided).
  • Attend mandatory camp training before the program starts.

Your Role as a Camp Counselor:
As a Camp Counselor, you’ll create an unforgettable experience for campers while ensuring their safety, happiness, and engagement. Responsibilities include:
✔ Leading fun, interactive daily activities
✔ Providing support for campers, including personal care and de-escalation techniques
✔ Creating an inclusive, welcoming, and positive camp environment
✔ Reporting incidents or changes in camper needs to supervisors
