Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee - Summer Camps

Girl Scout camp fosters community in an outdoor setting. We build campers of courage, confidence and character. We build connections between campers who never would have met. We have campfires and s’mores, and yes, even cookies. But we also bring girls from all walks of life into one place to learn to advocate for themselves, to explore their passions, and to make the world a better place.

Positions are available at both Camp Holloway and Camp Sycamore Hills unless otherwise specified. Positions include housing and meals. Most positions require you to live on-site. All staff must be able to direct camper behavior in positive ways and assist in emergency situations to keep the campers safe.

All available positions require working in the outdoors, which includes regular exposure to weather conditions such as heat, humidity, rain, and storms, as well as exposure to insects and wildlife. Staff members will walk six to ten miles a day at a brisk pace and on uneven terrain and should be able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 pounds. All staff members are expected to be able to self-manage mental, emotional, and social health in a fast-paced community environment. Each staff member is considered a counselor with the main focus of their work engaging with campers.
