Organization:  The Storybook School, Inc. (TSS), established in 2016, is a private program which provides services to children from 2 years through 5 years of age. Our program is located in the Sunset/Parkside district.  We are a bilingual environment where children have the opportunity to learn Mandarin or Cantonese, in addition to English.   We teach using a relationship-based model, following the emerging interests of the children.

Job Summary: The ideal Inclusion Specialist candidate will divide their time working in each of our two preschool classrooms.  In the preschool classrooms, they will spend much time observing and working with the teachers on strategies to support the children, as well as working directly with the children.  They will focus their efforts on developing individual plans for children that need extra support, as well as developing strategies for the classroom as a whole.  Some of the needs to provide support for are: sensory integration needs, developmental delays, or challenging behaviors. The Inclusion Teacher will work closely with the teachers, directors, and parents to create a plan which allows every child to thrive.

The ideal candidate would be flexible and enjoy being in nature and planning enriching outdoor adventures for the children. Some of the questions to ask yourself when applying for the position are: Do you enjoy the idea of an outdoor classroom?
