Robotics and AI Educator
About the Role Seeking a passionate STEM educator to lead hands-on robotics and engineering programs for students in grades 4–8. Teach robotics, math, geometry, and basic programming through engaging, project-based learning in after-school, weekend, and summer camp settings. Training provided – open to both experienced educators and STEM professionals new to teaching.
Students pursing Bachelors/Master’s in Robotics Engineering are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engaging robotics classes using LEGO® platforms
- Guide students through building and engineering challenges
- Facilitate teamwork and problem-solving activities
- Teach block-based coding and foundational STEM concepts
- Manage classroom materials and equipment
- Support students in seasonal robotics competitions
Requirements Must Have:
- Commitment to teach a minimum of 2 after-school clubs weekly per semester
- Proficiency with computer software and willingness to learn new technology
- Passion for STEM education and working with youth
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable transportation (travel to multiple locations)
- Degree in education or related field
- Pass New Jersey State background check
Requirements Preferred:
- Teaching, coaching, or camp counseling experience
- Experience with robotics, programming, or engineering
- Familiarity with LEGO® robotics (Spike Prime, EV3) or Python/Scratch
- FIRST LEGO League, VEX, or robotics competition experience
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Education
Schedule
- After-school: 3–5 afternoons/week (3:00–6:00 PM)
- Weekends: Occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM–5:00 PM)
- Summer camps: 2–4 week sessions, June–August (9:00 AM–5:00 PM)
