Quality Control Technician Internship
To provide Quality Control support for operations functions at the North Clarendon, VT. facility. Functional areas of responsibilities are: Concrete and Sand & Stone.
Duties, Responsibilities and Physical Aspects
- Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
- Assist in maintaining quality requirements and ACI standards for concrete and stone products.
- Assist in serving as the Quality Control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
- Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Control and the customer.
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
- Assist in product certification.
- Assist in reviewing customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
- Assist in developing, executing and analyzing quality-reporting measures.
- Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
- Assist in reviewing suppliers purchase orders and establishing supplier quality requirements.
- Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A combination of education and/or work experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are demonstrated.
- Good planning, organization, and basic math skills.
- Student in Civil Engineering or Construction Manager preferred.
- Broad base of knowledge in concrete construction and testing.
