Digital Product Solutions Engineer Intern

As a Technology Solutions Digital Product Engineer Intern, you will support the Technology Solutions team in maintaining and improving master data, documenting processes and solutions in Confluence, and assisting with system configuration in BY Network (formerly OneNetwork). This internship provides hands-on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Master Data Management
    • Assist in maintaining and updating master data records for logistics platforms.
    • Support data quality initiatives and help ensure consistency across regions.
    • Document data usage standards and best practices.
  • Documentation via Confluence
    • Create and update process documentation, user guides, and training materials in Confluence.
    • Organize and maintain documentation libraries for easy access by team members.
    • Collaborate with team members to capture requirements, workflows, and solutions.
  • System Configuration in BY Network
    • Support system configuration tasks in BY Network under guidance from senior team members.
    • Participate in testing and validation of configuration changes.
    • Help document configuration procedures and troubleshooting steps.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Attend team meetings and training sessions to learn about technology solutions and best practices.
    • Work with product owners and capability leaders to understand business requirements.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, supply chain engineering, or related field.
  • Interest in logistics technology and digital products.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence) and data management concepts.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work remotely and autonomously.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Jira, UX design, Confluence

 

Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.

The hourly wage for this position is $23.50 - $25.00.     

Candidates are eligible for the following benefit: 
•  one (1) hour of paid sick time for every thirty (30) hrs worked, and up to a maximum of forty-eight (48) hrs ea calendar yr.

Work Location Requirement – APL Logistics
Employees residing within 25 miles of an APL Logistics Hub Office (AZ, FL, MI, NC, OR) are required to follow a designated Hybrid schedule as described below:  Fully on-site, or fully remote schedules are determined based on role and business needs.
•    Hybrid employees must report to the office 8 days per month, scheduled by their supervisor.
•    Warehouse roles are typically fully on-site.
•    Candidates outside the 25-mile radius may be considered for fully remote roles, depending on business needs.


Remote work requires full compliance with company policies, including workspace standards, timekeeping, and communication protocols. Commuting costs are not reimbursed.  Adherence to this policy is a condition of employment.
