Pediatric Occupational Therapist

The Speech Pathology Group and Rehab Services of CT is a highly passionate and skilled multidisciplinary team seeking a dynamic, talented, and fun pediatric therapist (OTR/OTA) to join our SPGCT family. The SPGCT therapy team is passionate about what we do both in the clinic and in the community to fulfill our mission of “creating a place where families receive high quality care, feel supported and are important”.

Occupational Therapist responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Individual evaluations, screenings, and assessments in the clinic/school setting
• Planning and implementation of appropriate treatment sessions in clinic/school settings
• Developing and implementing goals, plans of care
• Parent education and training
• Timely completion of documentation and billing
• Effective communication skills with patients, parents and staff
• Strong organizational skills and creativity of session planning
• Flexibility to adapt to different environment and settings
• Attendance of department and OT staff meetings
• Ensuring child’s health and safety at all times

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Currently hold a CT Occupational Therapy State licensure
• AOTA/NBCOT Certified
• Meet all professional requirements and rules of professional conduct as an Occupational Therapist/OTA including maintaining licensure and CEUs
• Pediatric experience required
• Interest and/or experience with Aquatic OT preferred but not required
