Associate Veterinarian - Small Animal General Practice

Doc-Side Veterinary Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland is hiring a veterinarian interested in a role focused on small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry to join our compassionate team. This is an ideal opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to advance their dental and oral surgery skills with hands-on training and support, and is interested in growth within a well-established, Fear Free™ certified practice. This veterinarian will split their time between seeing clients with a routinely scheduled day of procedural cases. 
 

Located in the heart of historic Fells Point, our small animal and exotics practice has proudly served the Baltimore community since 1999. Doc-Side features 5 exam rooms, a dedicated surgery suite, and advanced diagnostic and dental equipment to support a heavy surgical caseload. We care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets and emphasize high-quality, client-centered medicine in a calm and supportive environment.

 

What You’ll Do as a Veterinarian:

  • Deliver gold-standard care for preventive and wellness care
  • Diagnose illness, provide medical treatment in a Fear Free™ environment, and offer advanced diagnostics - such as ultrasound and endoscopy - to support the needs of our acute and chronic disease patients 
  • Provide dental care and oral surgery, supported by intraoral radiology, experienced staff, and plenty of hands-on training
  • Perform a wide range of general soft tissue surgeries: mass removals, foreign body surgeries, pyometra, cystotomy, etc.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of veterinarians with special interests in internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and preventive care
  • Advance your clinical acumen with the support of experienced doctors and access to in-clinic and offsite training opportunities

Veterinarian Requirements:

  • DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary school
  • Licensed or license-eligible to practice veterinary medicine in Maryland
  • 2+ years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery preferred
  • Competency in surgical and dental skills preferred
  • Passion for teamwork and delivering excellent patient care
