As a Summer Camp Program Leader, you will serve in a leadership and mentorship role within a residential language immersion camp. Program Leaders work closely with the Village Dean to guide educational programming, lead cultural initiatives, and support staff development. This role is ideal for experienced CLV staff or educators who enjoy leadership, collaboration, and hands-on work with adolescents.
We are hiring Program Leaders across our 14 Language Villages, including Arabic, Chinese, Danish, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.
Role Overview
Under the direction of the Village Dean, Summer Camp Program Leaders help plan and implement immersive cultural and educational programming in the target language. Program Leaders mentor and supervise staff, support curriculum delivery, and participate fully in Village life while modeling leadership, professionalism, and language use.
Leadership roles may include Team Lead, Credit Curriculum Facilitator, Non-Credit Curriculum Facilitator, Adventure Day Camp Coordinator, or Assistant Dean.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach credit-bearing language classes in the target language
- Maintain accurate grade records, mid-session progress reports, and final evaluations
- Communicate regularly with the Credit Facilitator regarding student progress
- Live in a cabin with campers as part of a counseling team, providing supervision and support
- Supervise and interact with campers during meals and daily activities
- Participate in cultural presentations, activity periods, and community events
- Lead games, cabin activities, and community-building experiences as needed
- Assist with light cleaning of Village spaces to help maintain a safe, hygienic environment
- Complete additional duties as assigned by Village leadership

- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to mentor and support staff in a collaborative environment
- Sound judgment, maturity, and flexibility in a fast-paced, communal setting
- Comfort working closely with children and adolescents
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
- Previous Concordia Language Villages experience as staff or participant
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and the target language
- At least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
- Teaching licensure for Credit Curriculum Facilitator roles
- Prior leadership experience in a camp, educational, or youth program setting
