Finance Administrator

 

Exciting opportunity at a rapidly growing law firm.

Seeking a Finance Administrator for a growing law firm in New York, NY. Potential future career growth dependent on individual accomplishments displayed. Current states serviced are FL, GA, NJ, NY, PR, TN, TX and VA.

Responsibilities include:            

  • Helping ensure the accurate processing and posting of payments tied to debt‑collection activities within legal proceedings.

 

  • Creation of transfer sheets that are used for daily bank transfers and daily payment reconciliations.

 

  • Processing daily deposits via bank remote scanner.

 

  • Processing credit card and ACH payments

 

  • Billing, cutting and printing of cost checks

 

  • Supporting the accounting department by performing any additional assigned accounting and clerical tasks.
  • Research and resolution of payment related issues

 

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2 years of prior clerical &/or administrative experience with computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and to conduct assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Competency and willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn new software rapidly.
  • Associates Degree preferred

 

Candidate must be highly motivated with excellent organizational, typing, communication skills and comfortable working with numbers. Must be able to work individually and as part of a team with attorneys and other staff as appropriate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
