Job Title: Human Resources Intern
Job Summary: The HR Intern will assist the HR department with various administrative tasks, recruitment processes, employee relations support, and HR projects. This internship offers a hands-on learning experience in all aspects of human resources and will provide valuable exposure to HR practices in a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in HR, a willingness to learn, and an enthusiasm for contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Support:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Support recruitment efforts by reaching out to candidates and providing feedback on application status.
- Employee Onboarding:
- Assist with the new hire onboarding process, including preparing orientation materials, coordinating paperwork, and ensuring smooth integration for new employees.
- HR Administration:
- Help maintain employee records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and organizing HR documents in compliance with company policies.
- Employee Relations:
- Provide support in addressing employee inquiries and resolving basic HR-related questions or concerns.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities or team-building events.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Help ensure HR practices align with company policies and relevant legal requirements.
- Assist in preparing reports and maintaining HR metrics, including turnover rates, hiring statistics, and training participation.
- HR Projects & Initiatives:
- Participate in special HR projects, such as training programs and employee wellness initiatives.
- Conduct research on HR best practices or industry trends to support department goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in human resources and a desire to learn about HR practices and functions.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
- Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to take initiative.
Working Conditions:
- This is a part-time or full-time internship (depending on the student’s availability).
- Duration of internship: 3-6 months (flexible).
- This position will be in person at our headquarters located in Austin, Texas.
