Role Overview

We’re hiring a High School Math & Reading/Writing Tutor (grades 9–12) to teach in small groups (3:1) and occasional 1:1 sessions using Sylvan’s proven curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach Algebra I/II, Geometry, Pre-Calc (plus ELA: reading comprehension, literary analysis, essay writing).
• Support SAT/ACT prep as needed.
• Track progress and communicate results to families and the Center Director.
• Foster a positive, motivating classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Education, Math, English, or related field preferred).
• Prior tutoring/teaching experience with high school students.
• Strong content knowledge in Math and/or ELA.
• Excellent communication and rapport with teens and families.
• Teaching license a plus, not required.

Schedule & Pay

• Flexible part-time schedule (after-school/evenings + some weekends).
• Competitive hourly pay, based on experience.
• Paid training and all curriculum provided—no lesson planning required.
