Many students, including those with specialized needs, require an extra layer of care to get to and from school safely. As a Rider Assistant, you’ll sit in the passenger seat of a HopSkipDrive vehicle, providing one-on-one support and ensuring a smooth, comfortable transition for students in your community.

What You’ll Do:

Support: Ride in the passenger seat to provide 1:1 support for students during their ride to and from school.

Ensure Safety: Assist with transitions (getting in/out of the vehicle) and ensure the rider remains safe and comfortable.

Be a Friendly Face: Provide a calm, consistent, and caring presence for students who may be anxious about their commute.

Requirements:

Age: Must be 21 years or older.

Experience: 3+ years of experience caregiving for children (this can be professional work, or personal experience like babysitting, tutoring, or family care).

Transportation: Must have reliable independent transportation to reach the vehicle meeting location.

Clearances: Must be comfortable undergoing a background check and fingerprinting process.

Commitment: Must be available for both the AM and PM shift blocks.
