Market Development Manager

Market Development Manager


SUMMARY

The Market Development Manager handles Alternate Route to Market (ARTM) management & customer execution. She or he should have leadership skills, wholesale experience, problem-solving orientation, customer focus, good numeracy skills, decision-making, and computer knowledge.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for volume and revenue growth in selected ARTM customers and influence the customer delivered by the Reseller
  • Achieve quarterly sales target in volume, revenue, and gross profit
  • Work closely with Reseller ARTM customers on agreed upon execution plans in market
  • Develop and leverage relationships with partner distributors to facilitate account growth through in person presence on a weekly basis and joining in their weekly sales meetings to present our marketing initiatives and top priorities to their sales force
  • Support call coverage on ARTM customers.  Execute the sales call frequency
  • Implement training, coaching, and development programs for the partner distributor’s sales team to ensure our PICOS and COOLER Purity guidelines are met
  • Determine segmentation approach for customers in market
  • Monitor outlet performance to comply with CMA program and track their purchasing patterns ensuring they are growing our priority brands
  • Grow SOVI in all targeted white truck customers
  • Manage a promotion budget to support SOVI targets
  • Work closely with the internal white truck management team
  • Have Quarterly Business Review meetings with CMA customers
  • Support digital capability expansion projects

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School or GED (General Education Diploma) required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1+ year of work experience
  • 1+ years previous sales experience with consumer-packaged goods (CPG) preferred
  • Beverage industry and indirect sales experiences preferred
  • Ability to multitask handling multiple customer accounts
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Excellent planning, organization, negotiation, and communication / presentation skills
  • Financial savvy, analytical profile, and computer proficiency
  • Schedule: this position requires flexibility early morning, weekend and/or evening work
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record with no major violations over the last three years
  • Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours with a proper vehicle insurance
  • Lifting of 50+ pounds, bending, reaching, kneeling and light merchandising
