Description
A Summer Intern in the HWS Admissions Office takes on a wide range of responsibilities that support the recruitment of the incoming class. The role centers on welcoming prospective students and their families by leading campus tours and introducing them to the academic programs, campus environment, and community. Interns also contribute to daily office operations, including answering phones, greeting visitors, completing special projects, and assisting with other recruitment efforts. In addition, all interns participate in special events throughout the summer, including weekend programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct campus tours for prospective students and their families
- Represent HWS academic programs accurately across all disciplines
- Provide information and assistance on admissions procedures and timelines
- Answer and transfer phone calls while providing professional customer service
- Participate in on-campus admissions events, including Summer Open Houses and an overnight camp college program
- Greet and assist campus visitors upon their arrival to the office
- Assist staff with regional and functional tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned

- At least 1 semester of residency at HWS
