Licensed Veterinary Technician

Our team of dedicated veterinary professionals has expanded by a new doctor, and we are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our practice.

Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a dynamic environment as part of a team, attention to detail, and technical skills are expected of our ideal candidate.

Full Time employment with ability to work Monday-Friday required.

Closed weekends and Major Holidays.

Job Description:

Licensed Veterinary Technicians working in our practice would be expected to show proficiency in the following tasks.

-Technical Skill: patient assessment, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring and recovery, surgical preparation and assisting, dentistry, laboratory processing, pharmacy, and nursing care of hospitalized patients, orthopedic knowledge a plus

-Client Communication: gathering medical history, discussing treatment plans, discharge of surgical patients, and helping answer client questions via phone, email, and our communications app.

-Documenting client communication in each patient's medical record

-Documenting patient information in our electronic medical record system.

-Ability to discuss expected costs of services and general knowledge of typical treatment plans and estimates for care

-Develop knowledge of clinic protocols to facilitate an effective experience for clients, patients, and team members providing care at time of appointments

-Responsible for cleanliness of general work area as well as sharing in end of day cleaning responsibilities for clinic

-Above all, ability to work with others as part of a team to provide excellent care to our patients as well as their "human" family members too.
