Position Summary

The Medical Affairs Intern will support Inogen’s U.S. Medical Affairs team with initiatives spanning Long-Term Oxygen Therapy (LTOT) and Airway Clearance (AC). This internship provides hands-on experience in medical communications, clinical evidence analysis, and field medical operations. The role will offer direct exposure to the launch of new therapies, strategic planning, and patient/provider education programs.

Key Responsibilities

Literature Review & Evidence Support

· Conduct structured literature searches on LTOT and AC topics.

· Summarize findings into annotated bibliographies, slide decks, and briefing notes for internal stakeholders.

· Assist with evidence gap mapping and competitor landscape reviews.

Medical Education & Training Support

· Support development of internal training resources for Sales, Marketing, and Clinical teams.

· Draft medical FAQs, quick-reference guides, and educational tools for LTOT and Simeox 200.

· Help coordinate advisory board preparation materials, Oxygen Clinic materials, etc.

Data Analysis & Reporting

· Assist in analyzing survey, registry, or advisory board outputs.

· Contribute to topline summaries, executive briefs, and insight reports.

· Provide support for internal medical dashboards and metrics tracking.

Cross-functional Collaboration

· Work closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Quality, and Marketing colleagues.

· Align with internal teams for medical device launch preparation and planning and post-market evidence strategies.

· Participate in internal medical affairs team meetings and project planning sessions.

Qualifications

· Currently enrolled in a graduate-level program (PharmD, PhD, MD, MPH, MS in Respiratory Therapy, or related field). Exceptional senior undergraduates in life sciences will be considered.

· Strong interest in respiratory medicine, respiratory therapy, medical devices, or clinical research.

· Demonstrated ability to review and synthesize scientific/clinical literature.

· Strong writing and presentation skills.

· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); reference management software a plus (for resource verification).
