Business Development & Outreach Intern

Position Type: Internship (For Academic Credit)
Academic Credit: Up to 4 credits (with academic approval)
Hours: 15–20 hours per week, flexible based on academic credit requirements
Location: Remote
Start: Immediate start available
Duration: Academic term (flexible)

Role Overview

This for-credit internship provides students with hands-on learning in sales development, outreach strategy, and appointment-setting fundamentals within a consulting environment. Interns will work under supervision on structured projects designed to support learning, skill development, and professional growth.

This role is educational in nature and emphasizes applied learning rather than employment.

Learning Responsibilities

Interns may support projects such as:

  • Researching and identifying potential client organizations
  • Learning outbound outreach strategies (email, LinkedIn, and phone fundamentals)
  • Supporting appointment-setting workflows and CRM tracking
  • Drafting and refining outreach messaging under supervision
  • Observing and participating in sales strategy discussions
  • Documenting outreach processes, results, and lessons learned
  • Observing and participating in sales presentations and client discussions under supervision, including assisting with discovery, messaging, and proposal walkthroughs

Learning Objectives

By the end of the internship, students will:

  • Understand core sales development and lead generation concepts
  • Build professional communication and persuasion skills
  • Gain exposure to ethical sales practices and client engagement
  • Learn how consulting organizations support growth initiatives
  • Strengthen time management, organization, and accountability

Eligibility & Academic Credit

  • This internship is offered for academic credit only.
  • Students must be eligible to receive academic credit through their academic program. 
  • Students are responsible for coordinating approval with their university.
  • Credit level and weekly hours are determined by academic requirements.
  • Project Professionals will support required evaluations and documentation.

Future Opportunities
