SCSU Athletics Graduate Assistant - Broadcast/Creative Content

The position will work directly under the Coordinator of Video & Creative Content to produce high-quality, professional video content and other creative media. Content will be used to promote and represent            St. Cloud State University Athletics and its NCAA Division I/II programs. The position will also assist with setting up athletics live streams on backend websites and directing live productions through the use of the TriCaster and 3Play systems, broadcast cameras, and replay review software. 

This position will require a high level of communication, organization, teamwork, video & graphic editing, deadline management, and willingness to learn new technologies. 

Responsibilities: 

Creative Content: 

Create content for all SCSU Athletics social media channels (promotional graphics, hype videos, sponsor videos, and promotional videos). 

Assist with creative ideation for social platforms to improve engagement across all platforms and highlight both team and individual storylines. 

Create graphic templates for video segments, live broadcasts, and men’s hockey coaches show (lower thirds, scorebugs, etc.) 

Assist with the archiving and logging of creative assets including live streams, video footage and graphics. 

Develop relationships with SCSU Mass Communications students and professionals to coordinate planning and resources for specific video projects. 

Broadcast: 

Coordinate live streams among athletics programs and camera setup/tear down for live streams and replay review software. 

Assist in production setup for live events and multi-camera ENG shoots (sit-down interviews, videoboard content, etc.) 

Manage and oversee student video production assistants for home event coverage. 

Work with the Athletics Video Production and Content Manager to develop a pipeline of students to assist in roles for live streams. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Knowledge of live event production equipment and Adobe Creative Suite  

(Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)  Previous experience in both shooting and editing video projects and working in a control room preferred. 

A willingness to learn more about motion graphics and video animation techniques and being able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.  

Excellent communicator and willing to work with various staff members, coaches, student-athletes and stakeholders. 

Compensation: 

This is a graduate assistant position, which includes a tuition waiver and stipend. If you are a full time St. Cloud State graduate student, you are eligible.
