SCSU Athletics Graduate Assistant - Ticketing

Ability to learn and develop skills to support the Assistant Athletics Director of Ticketing & Promotions in planning, administering, and coordinating the daily operations of the ticket office. This position would help resolve many issues related to ticketing while supporting the needs of season ticket holders. Demonstrate good judgement in working with fans, staff, and coaches, and serve as a resource for the student staff in the ticket office.  

Responsibilities: 

Plan, organize, administer, and implement ticketing operations for assigned sports teams. Acts as liaison with coaches and other Athletics staff for each sport as necessary. Responds to customer inquiries and problems via email, ticket window, day of game, or by phone. Provide support for all operational aspects of post-season games.  

Support Assistant Athletics Director in the set up and management of box office on game days. Works with other External Operations staff to ensure the box office is prepared when gates open. 

Assists with the supervision of ticket sales and customer service issues at the Ticket Office window and on-site at athletic events. Ensure excellent customer service is maintained daily by student workers via the phone, window, and email.  

Answer phone calls from customers and assist them with their needs. Make outgoing calls to potential customers to increase ticket sales at all home events. 

Develop system to generate group ticket sales that focus on capturing groups in St. Cloud and the surrounding areas. Specifically targeting youth sports programs, area businesses, and other groups.  

Assist in the management of ticket holder accounts by using the Ticketing platform. Must demonstrate confidentiality when necessary.  

Ability to work at all 150 home athletic events throughout the academic year. 

Other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge & Skills: 

Ability to multi-task, work with frequent interruptions, and be an effective listener. 

Good judgement and effective decision-making and problem-solving skills, including skill to determine the issue/problem and find a potential solution. 

Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language. 

Must be able to interact respectfully and communicate in a polite and professional manner with the public and department via phone, written correspondence, or in person. 

Working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe. Experience working with a CRM (Customer Relationship Mangement tool) is preferred but not required.  

Must be self-motivated, organized, punctual, and reliable. 

Compensation: 

This is a graduate assistant position, which includes a tuition waiver and stipend. If you are a full time St. Cloud State graduate student, you are eligible
