SCSU Athletics Graduate Assistant - Sport Facilities
The Graduate Assistant of Sport Facilities is responsible for assisting in the overall management of operations for the University’s sport facilities, exclusive of the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. This position assists with the oversight and management of the comprehensive operations and scheduling of Halenbeck Hall and Husky Stadium. This includes facility scheduling and set-up, third party rental billing, and upkeep of playing equipment. The position also assists in coordinating custodial, general maintenance, security, parking and concessions services for athletics, recreation, and special events. This position assists in securing staffing for building and athletics event management, including hiring, scheduling and training of student and contracted support staff (building managers, activity space supervisors, event ushers/ticket takers, game supervisors, etc.).

Position Requirements:
Must be capable of a wide variety of physical activities related to instructing and assisting student staff with facility/event set-up and event/activity programming.
Work will be primarily performed in the afternoons and evenings. Position will be required to work a variety of hours managing building operations and a multitude of campus and community sport and special events within the Universities sports/recreation facilities.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Thorough knowledge of Campus Recreation programming and athletic event management.
Knowledge of sport facility operations to properly train staff.
Ability to work with a wide range of groups including students, faculty, staff and community.

The Graduate Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising all part-time student employees to effectively run a comprehensive sport facilities operation. The position will assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining event services policies and procedures for University sport facilities, including event management of multiple intercollegiate sports, sport facilities rentals, student recreation, and special events, including staffing, supervision, security, set-up/tear down. The position assists in executing external rental contracts and participates in event meetings as needed.
Compensation:
This is a graduate assistant position, which includes a tuition waiver and stipend. If you are a full time St. Cloud State graduate student, you are eligible.
