What will you do as a Chemistry Engineering Summer Intern?

• Work alongside our team on real-world chemistry-focused projects, such as synthesizing and characterizing new materials, experimenting with algae or other bio-organisms for biofuel production, analyzing water or soil samples for environmental restoration, or developing chemical solutions for industrial or safety applications.
• Collaborate with chemists, engineers, and interdisciplinary professionals on a wide range of research and development initiatives—designing chemical products that solve complex problems, optimizing reactions for sustainable energy, formulating new materials or chemical sensors, or improving laboratory processes for efficiency and safety.
• Conceive and develop your own innovative chemistry project proposal and present it to the Review Committee, applying your knowledge of chemical principles and experimental design.
• Gain hands-on field and laboratory experience by collecting samples, performing chemical analyses, and interpreting data to support real-world applications.

• Recent graduates (within the past year) or students currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a degree-seeking program (diploma, certificate, etc.) and taking at least a half-time academic or vocational/technical course load at an accredited high school, technical/vocational school, 2-year or 4-year college/university, or graduate/professional school.
