Summer Student Intern - Rates, Economics, and Energy Risk Management

Job Definition

Are you looking for a unique opportunity to gain valuable "real world" work experience? Snohomish County PUD offers challenging projects with access to experienced resources and the satisfaction of knowing you've made a difference.

“Energizing Life in Our Communities” isn’t just a statement on our mission to deliver vital services to the communities we serve. We are governed by elected community members, most of us live in our service territory, and many of us are life-long residents. We deliver services that our neighbors rely on for their quality of life – whether it’s safe water to drink, heat and light to keep them warm and safe, or energy to power businesses fueling our local economy.

The Intern will support the Rates, Economics, and Energy Risk Management team by assisting with analytical projects that contribute to the utility’s financial and operational decision‑making. This role offers hands‑on experience with load forecasting, rate analysis, and energy market risk concepts. Under close supervision, the intern will gather, analyze, and input data into established models, helping maintain and improve department programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a student seeking practical experience in data analytics, energy economics, and utility operations.
