Long-Term Substitute - Building Substitute
School Lane Charter School is seeking a long-term substitute for one of our Building Substitutes. This is a temporary position.
Job Summary
The LTS - Building Substitute plays a vital role in maintaining a seamless educational experience by stepping into classrooms as needed across various grade levels and subjects. This position requires flexibility, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for supporting student learning. The substitute will provide instruction, manage the classroom, and promote student learning in the absence of the classroom teacher.
Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring continuity of instruction.
- Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a safe and productive environment.
- Foster positive relationships with students to promote engagement and motivation.
- Maintain classroom routines and ensure that instructional materials are organized and accessible.
Skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of varying ages.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers and other staff.
- Previous classroom experience or childcare background is highly desirable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification preferred
Rate is $175.00 per day
