Culinary Intern

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Culinary Intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional kitchen within a private golf club environment. This internship is designed to support culinary education through real-world exposure to food preparation, service execution, and kitchen operations while maintaining the high standards expected by club members.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs with daily food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and basic cooking tasks
  • Support service for à la carte dining, banquets, tournaments, and special events
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
  • Learn and execute recipes according to club standards and chef direction
  • Assist with inventory rotation, labeling, and storage (FIFO practices)
  • Participate in prep for multiple dining outlets as needed (beach club, main club house, banquets, etc.)
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth service operations
