Safety Internship - Summer 2026

Title: Safety Co-Op / Intern

Responsibilities

The Safety Co-Op/Intern will work alongside our Safety and Project Management teams to gain real-world experience in the field of construction safety. Responsibilities include:

  • Jobsite Safety Support: Assist site safety managers with daily safety inspections, hazard identification, and corrective action tracking.
  • Incident Prevention & Investigation: Support root cause analysis of incidents and near misses, helping implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Safety Audits & Reporting: Conduct safety observations, audits, and documentation to ensure compliance with OSHA, company standards, and site-specific requirements.
  • Training & Communication: Assist in developing and delivering toolbox talks, safety orientation, and training materials to support field personnel.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain safety records, compile reports, and ensure required safety documentation (JSAs, permits, etc.) is complete and properly filed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to reinforce Enerfab’s commitment to building a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled and working toward a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in safety and/or construction.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and general construction safety principles preferred.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide thorough attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in both office and field environments, including active construction sites.
