Job Description

The Ballet Teaching Artist introduces students to classical ballet technique while centering access, equity, and body awareness. Instruction emphasizes strength, alignment, musicality, and discipline in an inclusive and culturally responsive way.

Responsibilities

Teach ballet fundamentals (posture, turnout, barre work, center, across-the-floor)

Adapt classical technique for diverse bodies and experience levels

Reinforce discipline, focus, and physical literacy through movement

Support performance readiness when applicable

Maintain safe dance practices and proper technique

Qualifications

Formal ballet training

Experience teaching ballet to youth

Strong classroom presence and clear instructional style

Commitment to accessible, inclusive ballet education
