Junior Bookkeeper
Job Summary:
The Junior Bookkeeper assists the bookkeeper with the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They assist with daily accounting tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Data entry of bills, invoices, receipts, and financial information
- Create and send customer invoices
- Upload, label, and organize accounting documents in shared drives
- Assist with entering expenses
- Enter credit card statements and maintain spreadsheets
- Maintain organized vendor and customer files
- Assist with A/P tasks such as entering bills
- Assist with A/R tasks
- Follow up on missing documents or information from internal team members
Required Skills/Abilities and Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience as a Bookkeeper
- Strong administrative or office experience
- 3-4 years of professional experience with QuickBooks (Pro or Enterprise)
- Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Google Workspace. Experience with rental or retail inventory management systems is a bonus
- Ability to learn and utilize new software
- Strengths in A/R & A/P, including collections
- Exceptional customer service skills: courteous, responsive, and resourceful
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with exceptional organizational abilities and a sense of humor
- Punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting a plus
Working Conditions
- This is an on-site position during business hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.), full-time, exempt position.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $60,000.00-65,000.00 annually
