Required Qualifications
- Properly Licensed with Iowa Board of Educational Examiners for this position
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Education or relevant field
- Endorsement in Art
- One or more of the following endorsements: K-6 Elementary Classroom, Reading, Math, Special Education, TAG, or ELL
Primary Responsibilities
- The Elementary Art Teacher at Northstar Elementary (grades 3-5) provides standards-based visual arts instruction for students in third through fifth grade. This position supports student creativity, skill development, and appreciation of art.
- Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support for and implementation of the school district’s student achievement goals.
- Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the teaching position.
- Demonstrates competence in planning and preparing for instruction.
- Uses strategies to deliver instruction that meets the multiple learning needs of students.
- Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning.
- Demonstrates competence in classroom management.
- Engages in professional growth.
- Fulfills professional responsibilities established by the school district.

Compensation
- Current minimum annual salary: approximately $50,224.00 with anticipated increase for the 26-27 school year.
- Placement on the salary schedule will be based on education and experience.
