Child Care Specialist

At Developmental Specialty Partners, we are committed to supporting children and families through high-quality, child-centered care. Our services emphasize early engagement and individualized support using play-based, developmental, and therapeutic approaches.

As an Early Childhood Provider, you will support the growth and development of young children (ages 2–6) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This entry-level role involves working alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and Child Psychiatrists. No prior certification is required; training is provided.

This role is a strong fit for:

  • Recent college graduates in psychology, early childhood education, special education, child development, or teaching
  • People with childcare experience who enjoy working with children: preschool teachers, daycare providers, paraprofessionals, Montessori teachers or assistants, nannies, babysitters, tutors, substitute teachers, Sunday School teachers, or similar roles
  • Professionals with healthcare or human services backgrounds seeking a new path
  • Career changers interested in meaningful, mission-driven work supporting children and families

     

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to children ages 2–6 in various settings using play-based and naturalistic approaches
  • Implement intervention plans developed by clinicians in behavior analysis and speech therapy
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support consistent, high-quality care
  • Build positive relationships with children and families while supporting developmental progress

     

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with young children
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort using computers and tablets
  • Must be able to attend trainings and work at assigned clinic locations on a consistent, timely basis
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including floor-based activities and lifting up to 50 lbs.
